A simple, fleece backed soft shell which can be used as either an middle or outer layer. Soft shells are designed to sit in between a fleece and a waterproof. They are highly water resistant and fully windproof whilst still being very breathable, whereas a full waterproof is always going to impede breathing due to using a membrane. Soft shells also have the advantage that fleece can be bonded onto the back and they don't rustle like waterproof material, as well as having a nice amount of stretch. Put all these together and soft shells make great everyday jackets whether its on the hill or about the house.
This jacket has 2 zipped pockets which double as vents, as they are mesh lined. The bottom can also be pulled in using the elastic drawcord. The sleeves are pre-bent to aid fit and movement and the cuffs are Velcro adjustable.
