This is a very popular ladies lightweight mid for us. It gives good underfoot support in a lightweight soft easy fitting mid. The fit is medium to broad and the fabric and leather upper hold your foot in place very comfortably. The mid height ankle gives more support and waterproofing than the shoe offers. It has a Gore Tex XCR lining to keep it waterproof and lets your foot breathe. Meindl are using Salomons Contragrip sole unit on the Respond range which is great. Salomons Contragrip sole units use a large amount of natural rubber in the compound and we have always rated them, especially on lightweight trail shoes. They are very grippy and supportive with plenty of shock absorbancy but not too heavy.
